"50 Writing Tools in 50 Minutes" with Roy Peter Clark

Date: October 4, 2006, 8:15am-9:30am
Location: World Room,
Third Floor of the Columbia Journalism School

Legendary writing coach Roy Peter Clark, now of the Poynter Institute, is coming to the School of Journalism and doing an early morning workshop for journalism students, faculty, adjuncts and staff.

"It's a rare chance to see this Florida-based maestro in action in New York City," says Sree Sreenivasan, associate professor of professional practice and dean of students at the Graduate School of Journalism. "He does terrific presentations and uses a piano or keyboard to show how writing and music are very similar. I have seen him in action several times and learned something new each time about writing and our work as journalists."
