For further information regarding this event, please contact Nilda Mesa at nmesa@columbia.edu or 212.854.6128.

Join us at Low Plaza between 11 AM and 4 PM to mark the nationwide Campus Sustainability Day. Between 12:30 and 2:30 PM a live webcast on the big screen will link dozens of universities, featuring case studies of how other schools have reduced their environmental impacts. At 2:30 PM President Lee Bollinger and Senior Executive Vice President Robert Kasdin will make remarks and officially kick off Columbia's new Environmental Stewardship Initiative.

Throughout the day stop by the information tables featuring tips and facts on reducing energy, water, climate, and waste impacts.

Meet fellow students who are making a difference on such issues as stopping the spread of malaria, and buy a bednet to save a life.

Pick up a stylish grocery tote bag with the new logo and get a discount for a limited time when you use it to shop at JJ's Place.

And, pick up a free sustainability kit.
