The Harlem Business Alliance, Columbia University and Verizon have partnered to offer FREE computer technology seminars to the public. Together they are hosting an open house on Monday, Feb. 12, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in which prospective students can meet instructors, ask questions and register for a six-week training program Monday evenings from March 5 to April 9, 2007.
Harlem residents over 18 who want to learn more about computer technology, how to build a website, or how to run an Internet business, are encouraged to meet instructors, ask questions and register for the six-week training program.
The Open House will be located Verizon Education & Technology Center
148 West 125th Street, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10027. It will also be an opportunity to learn more about the Columbia Service Learning in the Community Environment Program, Columbia's information technology workforce development program.
