The Ticket and Information Center is open from noon to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday. CU Arts Initiative staffers from left: Rudy Scala, Anne Fenton, Chad Miller and Caralyn Spector.

Columbia students, faculty and staff no longer need to travel below 115th Street to buy discount tickets to New York City cultural events.

Starting Jan. 28, tickets to theater, art exhibits, concerts at Lincoln Center, movies and campus events will be available to those with a valid CU ID at the new Ticket and Information Center (TIC) in Lerner Hall. The booth, sponsored by the Office of the Provost with support from Columbia College and Student Services, is created and managed by the Columbia University Arts Initiative and also will offer a free service to help campus organizers manage their own ticket sales and RSVP lists.

Events will be listed at www.tic.columbia.edu, in the Arts Initiative weekly e-newsletter and on the booth’s video screens.
