Summer 2000 Congressional Intern Applications Are Due Dec. 1, 1999

The Columbia University Congressional Internship Program gives undergraduate students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience on Capitol Hill or in local district offices. Interns will perform such functions as:

  • -- attending and reporting on Committee hearings
  • -- drafting memos on legislation
  • -- responding to constituent concerns
  • -- assisting with case work
  • -- general office duties

Internships are usually offered during two six week periods from early June to mid August.
