SIPA's David Maurrasse Discusses How Community Building Can Improve Neighborhoods
"Community building is a challenge to the ways policy has traditionally been made, which has focused very specifically on issues, such as education or health, in a vacuum. In communities, those issues cannot be separated and they are naturally interrelated. Community building is seeking to develop a way of thinking that focuses on that comprehensive nature of these problems," says David Maurrasse, assistant professor at the School of International and Public Affairs.
