Can New York City Become a Biosphere Reserve?
One of the issues examined at The International Conference on Biodiversity and Society, held in Low Library, was whether mega-cities, such as New York and Rome, can receive the UNESCO designation of being a biosphere reserve, which would lead to research funding on environmental issues.
