Earth Institute's Scientific Agenda Central to World's Agenda on Sustainable Development, Says Jeff Sachs
Columbia's State of the Planet 2002 conference, May 13-14, precedes the global sustainability conference this August in Johannesburg, South Africa, which is expected to draw 35,000. Along with describing the road to Johannesburg, Jeffrey Sachs, incoming director of The Earth Institute, says the institute's scientific agenda is central to the world's agenda on sustainable development.
