Earned Income Tax Credit Is a Successful Anti-Poverty Strategy, Says Larry Aber

"The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is one of the most successful anti-poverty strategies America has ever developed," says Larry Aber, director of Columbia's National Center for Children in Poverty and its Let's Invest in Families Today (LIFT) initiative. The EITC provides low-income workers with a credit for each dollar earned. LIFT works to increase the quantity and quality of investments that states make for low-income children and families by utilizing cutting-edge concepts in policy-making and communications.
