David Freedberg, art historian and director of the Italian Academy, offers insight to the upcoming conference "Forum on Art and the New Biology of Mind," to be held on March 24. Freedberg explains that there are many developments in the new neurosciences which pertain to art. The time has come to bridge the two cultures because of the relevance of the findings to our understanding of creativity and our responses to art, he says.
