Presidents, Press Gather

At Columbia's annual Meet The Press Dinner nine college and university presidents met with nearly 30 members of the national and metropolitan news media to discuss of variety of issues concerning higher education. Nov. 9, 1999.

Nearly 8,000 students, alumni and other fans watched Columbia lose a tough homecoming game (10/16/99) during which the Lions played defending Ivy League champion Penn to a near stalemate during the first half. A hospitality tent, complete with the Columbia Lion mascot, cheerleaders and marching band members, helped create a festive mood for students and alumni, and despite the 41-17 loss, Columbia's fans remained spirited.
