After reflecting on the rich tradition of Columbia College, Dean Austin Quigley tells more than 1,000 College graduates that "happiness will come not just from the good you acquire, but from the good you and your generation do together." David Stern Urges College Graduates to Forge Bonds that Connect People of Goodwill
Columbia University Trustee and NBA Commissioner David Stern assures graduates that it is OK to make decisions because it feels right, seems enjoyable or is interesting to learn. He also tells the class of 2002 that as they continue to grow and lead they must commit to futhering their elders understanding of different cultures so that we can attempt to forge bonds that connect people of goodwill, rather than focus on what might separate us.
