The purpose of Identity House is to create an all-volunteer community in which to provide services
for the support and encouragement of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and other adults who are struggling
with issues of sexuality, alienation, relationship and family. Services offered include walk-in and
short-term peer counseling, therapy referrals, groups and workshops.

The Institute is a group of professional trained and licensed psychotherapists who are able to offer
the full range of psychotherapeutic services. Special treatment centers include the Center for the
Study of Anorexia and Bulimia, Psychotherapy Groups for People in the Arts, and Gay and Lesbian
Affirmative Psychotherapy. Various insurance plans are accepted, including Medicare. (Medicaid is
