The National Society of Black Engineers is the largest student-run organization in the nation and is comprised of over 10,000 members in over 270 colleges and universities. NSBE dedicates itself to the development of intensive programs for increasing Black and other ethnic minority participation in the field of engineering and engineering technology. These programs are initiated both within and outside the university community and serve to strengthen relations between professional industry and the Black community. Members of this organization are encouraged to join and participate in their individual professional societies. This organization endeavors to provide general counseling to all.
