Associate General Counsel
Susan K. Rushing has served as Associate General Counsel since February 1996. Her practice focuses primarily on the general corporate matters and the finance and investment activities of the University. Prior to coming to Columbia, she was an Associate in the New York office of the Coudert Brothers law firm where she handled general corporate, corporate finance, securities, and intellectual property work from 1990 to 1996.
Ms. Rushing earned her B.A. cum laude with honors in Economics from Brandeis University in 1986. She then went on to receive her J.D. from the law school at the University of Texas at Austin in 1990. She is admitted to practice law in New York State.
