Social Opportunities Through Orchesis

Professional Show Field Trip:
As stated before, once a semester we offer an organized trip to see a professional dance performance in the New York City area at affordable reduced prices. Past shows seen have been Paul Taylor, Alvin Ailey, The Donkey Show and Mark Morris. Check out our flyers, emails and phone messages to see what this semester's trip will be!

Dance Marathon Auction:
Last year we had our first auction to raise money for our dancer in the Dance Marathon. Look out for other upcoming events like this that are a fun way to get to know and become a part of the Orchesis community.

Cast Parties:
After every show, we host a cast party open to all members and their friends, family, etc.  Last semester's cast party was in the party room of The West End, and we danced the night away!  We encourage any and everyone to attend, for this is a fabulous night of fun!!

Semester Show Viewings:
Also, about a week after our semester shows, we host a viewing of the show's video in Upper Level McIntosh on Barnard's campus.  This is another fun, relaxed way to see the show again, chat about the fun we had performing it, and eat goodies while lounging on couches!
