| We report with sadness that Mary Mothersill, Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Barnard College, died on January 22, 2008. She was Chair of the Philosophy Department at Barnard, as well as a member of the Graduate Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Columbia University, from 1963 to 1993. Although there was no funeral, donations have been suggested to the Choral Society, and to the Peconic Land Trust, to which she left her property. A memorial service will be held on May 12th at 2:00 PM in Sulzberger Parlor, 3rd floor of Barnard Hall.
