Biography

B.A., University of Wyoming (1987)

Ph.D., Stanford University (1993)

Professor Carman is the author of Heidegger’s Analytic (2003) and Merleau-Ponty (2008) and has coedited The Cambridge Companion to Merleau-Ponty (2005). He has published articles on various topics in phenomenology and is currently writing a book on Heidegger.
