The CSPT will kick off the new academic year in North America with the CSPT reception on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the Chicago meeting of the American Political Science Association. There, in addition to the usual conviviality, we'll be awarding the David and Elaine Spitz Prize for the best book in liberal and/or democratic theory published in the last two years. More generally, this promises to be a tremendously lively meeting, with over 150 panels devoted to political thought, theory, and philosophy of all sorts. The preliminary program can be found on the APSA website. We look forward to seeing many of you there.

Be sure to read the Fall 2009 Newsletter for the latest CSPT chapter news from around the globe, listings of member publications, graduate student news, and to apply for membership.
