Biography
Jeffrey Lax (Ph.D., NYU, 2001, B.A. Yale, 1995). He studies American politics and judicial politics, with an interest in applied formal theory. Current research includes the impact of courts and strategic behavior in the Supreme Court and in the judicial hierarchy, with projects on opinion assignment, bargaining, case selection, and compliance. He has also taught at the University of California, San Diego.
