Members and affiliates of the University community may reserve the room for meetings for a fee of $100 plus any additional cleaning costs that are incurred.
Reservation Procedures
Political Science student groups and faculty may reserve the room without fee for any time of day Monday through Friday. Outside groups may request reservation of the room only for weekday events beginning after 5:00 p.m.
Weekend reservations are rarely given and only at the discretion of the Department Chair.
To reserve the room:
- Please contact Betty Howe either by phone (212 854 4518) or by email.
- If you are requesting use of the room for a group not affiliated with the Department, please provide Ms. Howe a university account number to which any custodial services required after the event may be charged.
- No reservation will be accepted without a university account number.
- Groups are responsible for their own event and furniture set-up. If help is needed, requests may be made to Facilities Management (212 854 8607).
- If your event begins after office hours, please see Ms. Howe before 5:00 p.m. on the day of your event to obtain a key to the room. The department closes and the common room is locked at 5:00 p.m.; department staff cannot take responsibility for keys not obtained before close of business for the day. A $20.00 key deposit is required, which is refundable upon return of the room key. This deposit will be forfeited if the key is not returned within one week of the event.
