Bob Hillman - He's been here before; please welcome our good friend Bob Hillman back to the Postcrypt.
Lisa Cornelio -- Lisa plays around New York City -- often with Postcrypt fave David Hamburger. We welcome back this fine singer-songwriter with her strong guitar playing and impressive voice.
David Hamburger -- Not only is he an awesome guitar-player and teacher, but he's got a knack for lyrics that is uncanny and will knock you over! Watch out for his dobro-playing, too!

Andrew Vladek -- Columbia's own (class of '92) folk and blues man may surprise us with a banjo, along with his old guitar and harmonica. He's sure to pack the house!
Hugh Blumenfeld -- Hugh says of the Postcrypt, "I love this place! When I play in the city these days (which I don't), this is where I want to be doing it (which I do)." Come check out this great songwriter and guitar player.

Leni Stern -- This guitar-slinging marvel and two-time winner of the Gibson Guitar Award for Best Female Jazz Guitarist ('96 & '97), offers a primarily vocal, acoustically flavored style.

Friday 6 March
Richard Julian -- Richard Julian's music covers a wide range of influences but keeps in the tradition of well-crafted songs with smart lyrics and real melodies. He is a fixture at the annual Fast Folk Revue at the Bottom Line; he has appeared at Nashville's respected Bluebird Cafe; and he has toured extensively in Switzerland and Italy.
The Nudes -- Florida-born Walter Parks was an accomplished jazz guitarist before he turned his attention to singing and song writing and moved to New York City. Through an ad he placed in the Village Voice, Walter connected with Stephanie Winters, a singer, classically trained cellist and New York native who has played professionally since the age of sixteen. We love 'em!

Jeff Tarayla -- Don't miss this New York singer-songwriter with his creative lyrics and distinguished guitar parts.
Jim Gaudet -- Jim started his career as flat picker and mandolin player, but now sings and strums his guitar. He recently had one of the top five independently produced albums in the United States. A regular at Albany's Caffe Lena, Jim is always a crowd pleaser at the Postcrypt.
Dave's True Story -- Winners of the New Folk competition at the 1994 Kerrville Folk Festival, Dave's True Story consists of vocalist Kelly Flint and guitarist/vocalist David Cantor. Their sound combines the joyous innocence of the 40's with a deadpan contemporary irony of the 90's. WNEW DJ Vin Scelsa has called their music "wonderful stuff...reminiscent of Cole Porter."

Ina May Wool -- A Barnard alumna, Ina May used to frequent the Postcrypt stage and made her return at 1995's Postcrypt History Night. Welcome back this talented singer-songwriter!
Kate Jacobs -- Kate Jacobs' songwriting covers unusual topics such as nunning and the Story of O. She's a long-time postcrypt veteran. Come early and get a seat!
Paul Clements -- Paul plays at many clubs around the city such as The Fez and The Baggot Inn. He is a skilled guitarist with playful, sometimes surreal songs full of warmth and humor.

Friday 3 April
Karen Almquist -- "I like my songs to have both spirit and funk." And that's exactly what the listener gets on Karen Almquist's latest release Tracking of Time (Althia, 1996) produced by Nina Gerber. Karen uses her soulful, bluesy voice, and bottleneck guitar and fingerpicking techniques on mostly original material sprinkled with songs by Bob Dylan, Muddy Waters, Gene Parsons and Bonnie Blackwell. Check her out.
Wendy Beckerman -- Originally from New Jersey, Wendy has been an active part of New York's acoustic scene for several years. She has recorded several songs for Fast Folk including "I'll Cry Tonight" on 1992's Live at the Postcrypt CD.
Hugh Pool -- Catch these traditional and original blues from a Postcrypt favorite. He's got some of the hottest guitar sounds around, and then some!

Erin McKeown -- Most successful guitarists have up and down career histories. Not Erin McKeown. She's still on the rise. Through her own booking and producing efforts and a whole lot of playing, McKeown is rapidly making a name for herself - her way Come and find out just how good her songs are and how charismatic her stage presence is.
Sarah Greene -- Sarah creates a distinctive sound with her strong blues-oriented guitar work, haunting melodies, and stark lyrics. Sarah's jazz and blues playing echoes the past while pushing the limits of the genre.

Bill Christophersen -- This old-timey fiddler will be at the Postcrypt to start off an evening of traditional music. He's sure to have a friend or two with him. Come down and check him out.
Jim Reams -- The Kentucky Songbird makes his long-awaited return to the Postcrypt stage. Stop by to hear his lonesome and soulful voice and his distinct Eastern Kentucky guitar playing. James Reams is always a treat.
