Amy Fix-- Amy brings to the Postcrypt a set of sincere, funny, and inspiring songs. She has experienced much in her life, and has masterfully converted her lessons into really enjoyable music! Django Haskins--One magazine says, "Imagine a hybrid between Elvis Costello and Tom Petty and you've got a pretty good idea of what Django Haskins is all about." Recently he's been performing non-stop with his band the Regulars, but we are really excited to have him back, solo. More about this artist
Sean Smith--Sean's musical career stems from his love of writing and acoustic folk music. His talent as an acoustic folk poet is demonstrated in the variety and depth of his original songs. Doug Walker--Doug Walker is an acoustic voyager, an electric guitarist unplugged. Alastair Moock--The Boston Globe says, "Though only in his mid-20s...singer/songwriter Alastair Moock sings with a voice and sensibility far beyond his years...Moock stands head and shoulders above the bevy of Boston-based young musicians." Matt Turk-- Turk has performed with HUGE names including Fiona Apple, The Band, Blues Traveler, Jeff Buckley, Dave Matthews Band, and Pete Seeger. His new self-titled CD is "noteworthy evidence that a guy with a guitar and a studio full of friends can (still) sing what he sees and in the process create a kind of connection with the listener that is palpable and true." Jeff Cannon-- Rich, warm vocals, memorable melodies, incisive lyrics, a thoughtful and beguiling performer: these are some of the things being written about Bloomington, Indiana-based singer-songwriter Jeff Cannon, one of the brightest and busiest voices to have come out of the talent-rich Boston acoustic music scene. But the Postcrypt came before all of that. There aren't too many people who can claim to have been around the Postcrypt as long as Jeff; in fact, there isn't anybody. He grew up here, after his father started the coffeehouse in 1964. He keeps coming back, and we're more than happy to welcome him back.
Nick O'Mahoney-- This is the Postcrypt debut of one of Columbia's finest. Nick is a GS student with a great backlog of original pieces. We are very pleased to offer our audiences a glimpse into the Columbia music scene.
Hugh Blumenfeld-- Hugh is a Postcrypt favorite, and one of our most treasured performers. With careful attention to the play of words and melody, Hugh has created a body of work with an unusual clarity and scope, ranging from romantic ballads to biting satire. More about this artist
The Austin Conspiracy of Performing Songwriters, featuring Danny Santos-- The Austin Conspiracy is a cooperative coterie of performing songwriters dedicated to making great music and spreading it through Central Texas and beyond. Singer/songwriter Danny Santos includes influence from his Tejano heritage in his pieces as well as a musical legacy ranging from Hank Williams to the Beatles. More about this artist
Joel Cage-- Roberta Schwartz & Club Passim have this to say of Joel, and it rings true: "Every now and then, an artist emerges from the crowded field of contemporary singer/ songwriters and manages to stretch the boundaries of what we call acoustic music. Maggie and Terre Roche-- These two legendary artists opened our 1999-2000 season in September; it was the first time that they had played the Postcrypt since 1968. In between, Terre has released over 12 albums, appeared on countless others, toured extensively, appeared as a cartoon on Tiny Toons and gained general recognition and acclaim as a member of The Roches. Recently Terre's been working with her new band, "Terre and Her Moodswings," and teaching guitar at The New School. This is a terrific opportunity to hear Terre and Maggie in an intimate space; don't miss these celebrated performers. More about this artist

The Joint Chiefs-- "The best description of the Joint Chiefs is to say that they are an alterna-pop band with a twist of light punk rock," says the online Gazette. Carmin Turco-- Carmin started playing New York City clubs at age 16, including CBGBs and Speakeasy. He first played at the Postcrypt in 1992, and he recently released a new CD, "I'm Gonna Hurt You." More about this artist
Ravin' Mavens-- They have been described as "An all-female, regional country-folk super-group." We are so excited to have the Ravin' Mavens here at the crypt after the completion of their CD, "Brave New Girl." More about this artist
Adam Brodsky-- Adam Brodsky sings and strums the same way he writes - relentlessly and without compromise - saying what everyone else wishes they could say. His music is a voice for oppressed rights, oppressed cubicle workers and oppressed boyfriends everywhere, writing with a brash sense of humor and a healthy respect for the roots of American Folk Music. Lois Isaksen-- Lois Isaksen's music has many influences, including folk, rock, and world music. Punctuated by her soulful voice, her life experiences come through in her songs. After years as an independent carpenter and shop teacher at a women's trade school, Lois secured a spot in the carpenters' union. You may have seen her interviewed on CNN, as she recently assisted in the rescue efforts at the World Trade Center. More about this artist

Robert Messore-- From New Haven, Connecticut, Rob Messore brings with him a type of instrumental mastery. In response to his entry in the singer-songwriter category of the New Haven Advocate "Grand Band Slam" poll, Rob claimed that he didn't belong there because it was his guitar that did the singing not him. Kristin Cifelli-- Holding a degree in songwriting with magna cum laude honors from the Berklee College of Music, Kristin Cifelli is a rising talent on the Boston scene. Andy Fox cut his teeth on the Boston music scene, playing in a number of bands while attending Berklee College of Music. Tina Vero-- A singer-songwriter who has been making tracks, Tina Vero puts heart-on-the-sleeve lyrics in the keys of intensity and intrigue via her jumbo six-string guitar and the soothing embrace of her vocal rises and falls.
