Welcome to Columbia University and to the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs. Our Office was established in February, 2006 to serve the needs of the University's postdoctoral research scientists, scholars and fellows. Our mission is to enhance the educational and training experiences of the University's postdoctoral appointees while at CU and to provide administrative support in an effort to enhance your experience at Columbia. The office serves as an information warehouse and provides an avenue of communication among postdocs, faculty, and administrators.

We hope to be both a starting point for identifying resources available to you for the resolution of any problems that you may have, and, also, a resource for you so that your stay here is as pleasant and productive as possible. It is important to note that we consider ourselves to be your advocates. I encourage you to explore and utilize this website and our office to let us know of your needs. If we are unable to assist you directly we will be able to refer you to an office or department that can. We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming OPDA event.
