Children's Carnival Held At Columbia University Saturday April 22

More than 20 student groups from all four undergraduate schools at Columbia have joined together to host a carnival for New York City youth on the campus lawns, Saturday, April 22 from noon to 3 p.m. Free and open to the public, the Children's Carnival is an early celebration of the Annual Day of the Children in the U.S., which will be held next week.

Children from neighboring schools and groups from Community Impact are invited as is the entire university community.

The carnival includes such activities as egg hunts, piņatas, and sports. There will also be arts and crafts booths celebrating the diversity and interests of Columbia students. These activities range from cultural organizations demonstrating traditional crafts to pre-professional groups presenting fun science activities.

If you have any questions or would like your children's group to attend, please contact Alicia Pentz-Lopez CC'00, Chair of the Carnival for Children Committee at 212.853.2349 or amp48@columbia.edu.
