Paul Knox has been a writer and editor at The Globe and Mail in Toronto since 1978, and a regular commentator in Spanish for Radio Canada International, Canada's short-wave radio service. During his 22 years at The Globe and Mail, Knox has reported from all 20 Latin American republics, as well as from several Caribbean nations.
In more than 1,000 articles and 300 broadcasts, Knox has consistently placed people at the center of the news, putting a human face on political, economic and social developments, and highlighting the cultural and historical traditions that shape current events. Knox's reporting and analytical articles have been particularly significant as Canada has assumed a higher profile in the Americas through its membership in NAFTA and the Organization of American States. Through his writing, Knox has directed the attention of his readers and listeners to Canada's important role in the multi-lateral activities of the Americas.
