Urban Experts Discuss Presidential Candidate Positions
on Cities Mon., Oct. 30

Throughout the campaign, many urban experts have criticized what they see as the candidates' lack of attention to urban issues. Tonight, former Clinton advisor Dick Morris will join Maxine Griffith, executive director of the Philadelphia City Planning Commission and Richard Kahan, former New York State gubernatorial candidate for a roundtable on the impact of the candidate positions on cities, housing and the environment, at 6:30 p.m. at Wood Auditorium, Avery Hall. Other participants will include Roger Starr, former editor-in-chief of City Journal and former editorial board member of The New York Times; Michael Sorkin, chair of the Graduate Program in Urban Design at CUNY; and Peter Marcuse, professor of urban planning, Columbia University.
