Announcement of the 1996 Pulitzer Prizes will be made by Columbia University on Tuesday, April 9. Reporters are asked to arrive by 2:45 P.M. in the World Room, third floor, of Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism building, southeast corner of Broadway and 116th Street.
Following a briefing by Pulitzer Prize administrator Seymour Topping, materials on the 1996 awards, including photographs of the winners and prints of the prizewinning photographs and cartoon, will be given out at 3 P.M. The information will be for immediate use.
