Carl Hart is featured in the article, "The Drug Data Pusher", in the February 2010 issue of Wired UK magazine. The article is now available to view at this link.

The Robert Krauss Festschrift book is published! Edited by Ezequiel Morsella and published by Psychology Press, it's title is: "Expressing Oneself / Expressing One's Self: Communication, Cognition, Language, and Identity". It is available on Amazon.com. You can also view the book's summery here

Work by Kevin Ochsner, Niall Bolger, and Jamil Zaki appears in an article along with a video in the September 25, 2009 Wall Street Journal.

Claude M. Steele, Provost of the University and Professor in the Department of Psychology, will give a University Lecture Tues. Sept. 29 on "Identity and Stereotype Threat: Their Nature and What to do About Them at School and Work".  For more information and instructions on registration  go to the University Events Calendar.

The Department of Psychology heartily welcomes Claude Steele, who joins Columbia as the Provost and Professor of Psychology effective September 1, 2009. 

Prof. Walter Mischel's research was featured in an article in the May 18, 2009 issue of The New Yorker.

Prof. Herbert Terrace has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Comparative Cognition Society for "Outstanding Contributions to the Study of Cognitive Processes in Animals". A summary of his research appears in the current issue of Columbia Today.

Prof. Kevin Ochsner has been awarded a 2009 Columbia University Distinguished Columbia Faculty Award
