Work by Kevin Ochsner, Niall Bolger, and Jamil Zaki appears in an article along with a video in the September 25, 2009 Wall Street Journal.

Claude M. Steele, Provost of the University and Professor in the Department of Psychology, will give a University Lecture Tues. The Department of Psychology heartily welcomes Claude Steele, who joins Columbia as the Provost and Professor of Psychology effective September 1, 2009. 

Prof. Walter Mischel's research was featured in an article in the May 18, 2009 issue of The New Yorker.

Prof. Herbert Terrace has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Comparative Cognition Society for "Outstanding Contributions to the Study of Cognitive Processes in Animals".

Prof. Kevin Ochsner has been awarded a 2009 Columbia University Distinguished Columbia Faculty Award
