We would like to invite you to volunteer to take part in a Columbia University research project on judgment and decision making.

The purpose of this project is to better understand how people make protective decisions in various circumstances. The benefits you will derive from this study include learning about how experimental research is conducted in psychology. You will be free to cease participating at any time.

Confidentiality will be maintained; your name will not be associated with the data we will obtain from you. The only people who will have access to the data will be Dr. David Krantz and Xin Piao, Department of Psychology, Columbia University, and those authorized by Dr. Krantz. There are no costs to be incurred by participating in this research, except 15-20 minutes of your time.
