Course Overview |
Statistical concepts and methods will be introduced in the lectures and reinforced with readings and problems from the textbook and other sources. The first half of each class will generally be devoted to lecture and the second half to lab activities. Lab activities will include problem solving workshops and data analyses in Excel and SPSS. |

Readings |
The textbook will be available at the CU bookstore. You may also be able to purchase it used from on-line booksellers. Additional readings will be available through on-line reserve or will be distributed in class.

Grading |
Homework: 30% Tests: 70% The first test will be on Thursday, June 9; the second test will be on Thursday, June 30. Each exam will be 3 hours. You should plan to arrive one hour before or stay one hour after our regular class time on exam days. If you know that you will be absent on either of these days, please speak to us as soon as possible. Otherwise, if you miss a test because you are sick or for some other non-trivial reason, please notify us as soon afterward as possible and arrange to take a make-up test. You may be asked to bring a note from a physician or a dean. |
