We anticipate quite a few
openings in Spring 2010 for undergraduate and Postbac TAs to assist in
Psychology lecture courses and in the undergraduate teaching labs (200b/c
Schermerhorn). For the most part, positions in lecture courses go to
full-time students who have done exceptionally well in that course or,
in the case of courses being offered for the first time, in relevant courses. Lab
TA positions go to full-time students with relevant computer skills
and experience.
The new stipend is $2100
per term ( $11.67/hour for 12 hours per week for 15 weeks). Please keep
in mind that Columbia will not employ full-time students for more than
20 hours per week, and does not allow students to hold more than one
TAship in any given term.
If you are interested in,
and qualified for, either kind of position, please complete the application
form below and then click on the Submit button to send it to Lois Putnam
and Andrew Johnson. For lecture course TAships, please also contact the professor directly, describing your qualifications and asking if a position might be available for you next spring.
