The Columbia Psychology Postbac Program has been helping non-psychology college graduates successfully pursue graduate training in the field since 1999. It is appropriate for students interested in graduate study in all areas of psychology. Our graduates have gone on to programs in clinical, counseling, cognitive, social and school psychology, as well as programs in social work and public health. It is geared toward preparing students for admission to Ph.D. or Psy.D. psychology programs, as well as certain masters level programs.

The majority of the Postbac Program’s 8 requirements are structured around individual student interests (e.g., 3 courses, an Advanced Seminar and Supervised Research) with the support and advice of the faculty. The advisement aims to maximize student satisfaction as well as their future graduate application.

To download an application, visit the website of the School of Continuing Education Postbac Program in Psychology. If you have further questions after reading about admission requirements and the application process on this website, please contact Continuing Education and Special Programs at (212) 854-2820.
