The Psychology Library is on the main floor of Schermerhorn (room 409), just on the left side of the elevator. The library is open to Columbia affiliates 7 days a week with the exception of major holidays and semester breaks (for details see library hours). The standard library hours during the semesters are:
Monday - Thursday: 9am-10pm
Friday: 9am-5pm
Saturday: 12pm-5pm
Sunday: 2pm - 10pm
The collection of the Psychology Library contains 36,000 volumes, approximately 200 current serial titles and about 70 videos. The collection is strong in the area of experimental psychology as related to social psychology, personality, cognition, perception, sensation and psychophysics; animal learning and behavior; and neuroscience. In addition, the collection houses material in the areas of history of psychology and statistics as it applies to psychological research.
