Effects of skepticism on learning & on knowledge accumulation

A part of my research focuses on effects of skepticism on learning (at the individual level) and on knowledge accumulation (at the level of group endeavors, such as scientific inquiry). I am currently examining levels of chronics skepticism among practitioners of different scientific fields. I am also interested in the role of punishment and reward in cooperation.
