General Area of Research
Brain systems supporting emotional appraisal, emotions in daily life, phenomenological 'folk' theories of emotion.
Current Research
I'm interested in the implications that beliefs about the nature and controllability of emotions have for emotional and social well-being, and am currently developing a program of research intended to shed light on the neurocognitive processes underlying these beliefs. I'm also broadly interested in the relationship between lab-based and real-world measures of cognition, emotion, and behaviour.
