General Area of Research
Memory and metacognition; applying cognitive psychology to enhance educational practice.
Current Research
Though generally interested in basic memory research, I am also interested in applying what we have learned from the field cognitive psychology to enhance student learning. For example, several main topics of interest are the memorial consequences of testing, efficacy of different types of feedback in correcting errors, as well as metacognitive monitoring and control in relation to various learning tools.
