General Area of Research
I am interested in the interplay between individual, social, and structural factors in health and how these affect people's health behaviors.
Current Research
The projects that I am currently working on are primarily focused on Latinos living in New York City and how issues such as acculturation, gender and family norms, and culturally-driven perceptions affect outcomes such as physical activity, diet, Type 2 Diabetes status, breast cancer screening, and sense of social/neighborhood cohesion.
