General Area of Research
The role of different brain systems in learning and decision making
Current Research
My research broadly focuses on the interaction of different memory and decision systems. Coming from a background in fMRI studies of reward and decision making, I am particularly interested in how the striatal reward system interacts with a declarative, relational memory system in learning and decision making. My current research with Daphna Shohamy involves behavioral and fMRI studies of healthy participants, analyzed with the aid of computational modeling, with future extensions to patient populations
