Burglary Alert

On Tuesday, August 21, 2007, A Columbia University student reported someone had removed her unattended laptop left in an open area on the 5^th Floor of Lerner Hall. CCTV review of the area shows the below male enter Lerner Hall, remove the unattended property and exit the building with said property.

Description based off CCTV review: Male black, medium to dark complexion, 25 to 40 years of age, 5’6” to 5’9” tall, medium to husky build, hair - short to medium, no facial hair. Last seen wearing an olive or beige sweater with a light colored shirt underneath showing on the bottom, beige khaki pants with cargo pockets on the side, and dark brown or black shoes.

If anyone believes they observed this person or had an interaction with him on August 21, 2007 in Lerner Hall, please contact the undersigned. If anyone observes this individual or any suspicious persons on campus, please immediately contact Public Safety at 854-5555.
