On April 26, 2008, at approximately 11:30 p.m., a family member of a Columbia Affiliate reported while walking home on 171^st Street, towards Fort Washington Avenue from Broadway. He was approached by two males, one displaying a hunting style knife, demanding his property.

 On Tuesday, August 21, 2007, A Columbia University student reported someone had removed her unattended laptop left in an open area on the 5^th Floor of Lerner Hall.
