University Card Access
The University ID card was introduced in the fall of
2007 as part of a university-wide initiative to help safeguard the
campus and assure the safety of personal information. This card,
which replaced the Columbia Card, was created to allow automated,
authorized access to secured University locations; to allow access
to libraries and the gym, where applicable; and to enable students
to take advantage of cultural discount programs.
