Correction
Because of an editing error, a story in last week's issue of the RECORD misrepresented Columbia's ranking among other top universities whose faculty were elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. With six new faculty fellows chosen for the Academy this year, Columbia was among the top six schools, vying with Princeton and the University of Chicago, which also had six faculty selected. Harvard and Stanford had nine each and U.C.-Berkeley had ten.
