ominations for candidates for Columbia honorary degrees and the University Medal for Excellence to be awarded at Commencement next May are now being accepted by the Executive Committee of the Trustees and the University Senate Committee on Honors and Prizes.
The committees will meet during the fall to select seven candidates for honorary degrees and one candidate for University Medalist.
An honorary degree candidate need not be a Columbia graduate.
A candidate for the medal must be an alumnus/a under 45 years of age.
Nominations must be made no later than Oct. 1 and sent to Honors and Prizes, 211 Low Library, 535 W. 116th St., Mail code 4323.
