aris Silajdzic, Bosnia's co-prime minister, left, spoke at the School of International and Public Affairs Oct. 21 at the invitation of the International Conflict Resolution Program. Silajdzic had an upbeat message on the prospects for peace and reconciliation in Bosnia provided the United States and NATO continue to position troops there to maintain the Dayton peace accords. Also at SIPA the same day, President Joaquim Chissano of Mozambique, right, spoke about economic development in his country as the guest of the Institute of African Studies. Dean Lisa Anderson, at the podium, introduces Chissano to an audience of diplomats, business leaders, faculty and students at the Dag Hammerskjold Lounge. SIPA plays host weekly to visiting world leaders. A schedule of these events is on the Internet: http://www.columbia.edu/cu/sipa/EVENTS/thisweek.html.
