Chase Bank Will Move to 109th St.
BY ANNE CANTY
xecutive Vice President for Administration Emily Lloyd announced this week in a letter to community residents that Columbia and The Chase Manhattan Bank have reached agreement to move the branch located on the northeast corner of 113th Street and Broadway.
The branch will move south to 109th and Broadway to accommodate the construction of a new undergraduate residence hall at 113th Street. Chase will maintain a presence near its current location, however, with the construction of an ATM center on the southeast corner of 113th St. and Broadway.
"We appreciate the flexibility that Chase has shown in retaining this important community resource close to its current location while allowing our plans for a new undergraduate residence hall to move ahead," Lloyd said.
Construction on the new bank locations will begin in the next several weeks and is expected to take several months.
