Bosnia Negotiator Holbrooke to Speak at SIPA

he School of International and Public Affairs is to inaugurate the International Conflict Resolution Program on Thurs., Jan. 29, with a speech by Ambassador Richard Holbrooke on Preventive Diplomacy in the Post-Cold War World.
Holbrooke, who brokered an end to the conflict in Bosnia, is to speak at 5:30 P.M. in the Kellogg Conference Center, International Affairs Building.
The International Conflict Resolution Program promotes research on methods of conflict resolution and offers courses, seminars and training sessions.
Developed last May by SIPA Dean Lisa Anderson, the program has collaborative links with academic institutions and organizations worldwide.
The director is Andrea Bartoli, who has been active in conflict resolution as a vice president of the Community of St. Egidio. The talk is open to students with CUIDs.
