rancisco Rivera-Batiz, associate professor of economics and director of the Latino Studies Program and the Program in Economic Policy Management, discussed the debate on the impact of immigration in the United States at Columbia College Dean’s Day last Saturday. More than 400 alumni gathered to attend lectures on topics ranging from affirmative action to the Core Curriculum’s Music Humanities, which this year marks its 50th anniversary.
