Stanley Fahn, H. Houston Merritt Professor of Neurology, received the 1998 Fred Springer Award from the American Parkinson Disease Association at the annual Academy of Neurology meeting in Minneapolis on April 28. Also, J. Thomas Bigger, professor of medicine and professor of pharmacology, received the Distinguished Scientist Award from the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology at a luncheon in San Diego on May 9.
